Quant Systems: Systems Developer
Spinnaker Algo Systems is looking for a technology enthusiast who is curious and passionate to join our Quantitative Systems team. This is a technical and hands-on role where you will be part of an engineering team responsible for the company's high-performance trading and research infrastructure. What you’ll do day-to-day The Quantitative Systems team is responsible for designing and maintaining Spinnaker's largest computational infrastructure. This includes operating system platforms, software development tools, high-performance computing, networks, and storage for both research and trading. As a systems engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on various technological initiatives in a distributed computing environment, including the design and implementation of workload scheduling. Who we’re looking for A genuine interest in technology and an understanding of how it works. We are looking for someone with a degree in Computer Science (or related technical field) or relevant experience of up to five years. Proficiency in Python, Golang, Rust or similar languages is essential. Knowledge of Linux-based systems and networks is a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are fundamental. We also seek someone with great organizational skills and time management abilities. In line with our company's culture and the dynamic nature of our work, we value talent, curiosity, and motivation more than specific skills or experiences. What we offer The annual base salary will be defined based on the candidate's experience.
